Quit for Life, our tobacco cessation program

Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island (Neighborhood) has a tobacco cessation program called Quit for Life. The goal of the Quit for Life program is to identify members with nicotine dependence and assist them in achieving and maintaining good health outcomes as a result of cessation from tobacco use.

The Quit for Life program provides telephonic tobacco cessation counseling, with a focus on behavior change, to members who are identified as tobacco users and who agree to participate in the program. Telephonic counseling is reinforced with educational mailings specific to the member’s needs. Relapse prevention education is provided as well.

The Quit for Life program is a voluntary, opt-in program and services are provided to those members who agree to participate.

Quit for Life services are available to all Neighborhood members. If you have a Neighborhood member who is interested in quitting tobacco and would like some assistance, you or the member can call us at 1-800-459-6019.
